Stl Brows: The Art of Powdered Elegance

Powder brows, also known as shading or ombre brows, is a semi-permanent makeup technique for enhancing the appearance of eyebrows. Unlike microblading, which involves creating hair-like strokes using a manual blade, powder brows are achieved by depositing pigment into the skin using a machine and a needle.

What are Powder Brows?

The powder brow technique creates a soft, powdered look that resembles the effect of filled-in brows with makeup powder or pencil. The color is typically more saturated at the tail of the eyebrow and fades gradually towards the front, giving a gradient effect. This technique is suitable for clients who prefer a more defined and filled-in look without the appearance of individual hair strokes.

This procedure is meant to enhance your natural beauty- not oversaturate your brow. I like to keep a natural, but noticeable appearance for my clients. I often tell women to do their research when choosing a brow artist as you don't want "your brows to enter the room before you do."

Who is suitable for Powder Brows?

Powder brows are often preferred by women with oily or combination skin types, as the powdered effect tends to last longer compared to microblading. Additionally, powder brows can be a good option for those who already have full brows but desire a more polished and defined appearance. Powder brows do tend to be less invasive than microblading.

It depends on the type of stl brow you'd like, but I provide a consultation for EVERY client to determine the desired shape and color of the eyebrows. For powder brows, I use a machine with a fine needle to deposit pigment into the skin, layering the pigment to achieve the desired density and shape. The healing process is similar to that of microblading, with slight scabbing and flaking occurring in the days following the procedure- but not to worry! I offer kits, and closely follow along your healing journey.

How to maintain your brows

Powder brows can last anywhere from one to three years, depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. A touch-up appointment may be necessary to maintain the desired color and shape after the first 6-8 weeks, and then yearly after.

Overall, powder brows offer a semi-permanent solution for achieving fuller, more defined eyebrows with a soft, powdered effect, making them a popular choice for a more defined look! Ready to wake up, ready to go? Click the link below!
